What is Kids Hack Day?

Kids Hack Day is a series of global and free-of-charge tech events for kids and families run by a network of chapter organizers in different cities around the world. We at Mali programer are responsible for running the Travnik Chapter.

When we talk about hacking we are referring to the creative process of taking something that is, making it do something it was not originally intended to do and then sharing it with the world.

The vision of the development of the "Petar Barbarić" Catholic School Center in Travnik is aimed at the development of a transitional system in the upbringing and education system, which will contribute to the development of society through continuous upbringing and education using the best methods, worldview, and forms of work with the support of the camp, professors, and all the participating public-educational institutions process.

Cost: FREE 

Tickets: Pre-registered drop-in 10-16

Age: 8+ 

  • There will be a limit of 25 attendees. Hurry up!
  • Facilitators: 1 facilitator per 5-10 kids.
  • Lunch and snacks are provided by Mali programer.
  • Please inform us if a participant has special dietary needs.

Event Stations 

    Station 1: Welcoming & Registration
    Station 2: Free building & crafts (+ intro to Strawbees material)
    Station 3: Robot kits & charging station for building a robot and robot race

Terms and Conditions 

  1. Since this is a free event for the community, each participant must sign up themselves through their parents. 
  2. One registration is equal to one participant
  3. Pariticipants are subject to final verification and confirmation
  4. Large groups (i.e. from same school) are required to contact us first before registering and are subject to our terms and conditions

FAQ's 

  1. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes, all parents need to bring their ID. Parents participating during the event is voluntary, unless your kid is below the age of 10, then you have to stay.
  2. What is Kids Hack Day? Kids Hack Day is a global series of free creative tech events for kids. For more info please visit http://www.KidsHackDay.com
  3. Is there a limit to how many tickets I can get? Yes, two (2) tickets per household. You need to register twice to get two (2) tickets.
  4. Can I sign up for my friend? No, each participant must sign up themselves through their parent.
  5. Do I need to bring anything or pay anything to attend?  All materials we will supply, including food. 
  6. I have attended your event before. Can I attend again? Maybe. Spaces are limited and we have to be considerate of others wanting to join.
  7. I have registered but can no longer attend. Can I cancel? Yes. Please do so via your account in our event website and mark your attendance as not attending. Or you can email us directly.
